So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, "Get up, get out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city!" But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.
"Not so! Go now, you who are men, and serve the LORD, for that is what you desired." And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
"but your eyes have seen every great act of the LORD which He did.
Then Deborah said to Barak, "Up! For this is the day in which the LORD has delivered Sisera into your hand. Has not the LORD gone out before you?" So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with ten thousand men following him.
1 Samuel 2:3
"Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the LORD is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.
"Of gold and silver and bronze and iron there is no limit. Arise and begin working, and the LORD be with you."
Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk."
"And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds.
(for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion [is] vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
